Sunlight
This is my favorite track from this night. To be honest,I’ve toyed with this song for years and one day it just made sense… the following is thatwasthen at their best, clicking into a song with such precision for the very first time…

A Night To Remember
Unless you were either extremely drunk or did not attend thatwasthen live at the Coach House this past Saturday night.
The night went off without a hitch as our five heroes walked on stage with only one goal. To BLOW YOUR MIND. Armed only with their instruments, microphones and a well selected 9 song set the boys of thatwasthen made the Coach House sing, dance and all kinds of aroused. With the addition of keys into the set, rhythm and lead guitarists respectively, Nate and Nicky P. were bent on bringing something extra to the game, and they did just that with keys being heard on songs such as 57 miles (which included a dance off competition) and Absolute Zero. After the nearly hour long set the boys closed it up with the hard rocking Mr. Politician, yet as the song closed out and many minds were blown, all that remained was the amazing crowd chanting “ONE MORE SONG, ONE MORE SONG”, and their wishes were granted as Nate began the ominous organ opening of their 6 minute epic, The Long Count. With all their might thatwasthen attempted to give their fans exactly what they wanted; great tunes, good times and the most fun you could have on a saturday night (sans a hooker and a bottle of Crown Royale)
Thanks Again to all the fans (New & Old) for attending.
We hope to see all of you thatwastheninites again at the next show.
Again Thank You for your continued support.
It is incredibly appreciated.
From here to eternity.

Fastest Guitar Playing Ever
This video is why I stopped sitting down with a metronome trying to play as fast as possible. First of all, there are grotesque and strange people out there who will sit in a basement day in and day out psychotically practicing, and they will be faster than you.
Plus, this shit is ridiculous. It isn’t even music anymore. Any computer could generate these noises… you see, my friends, I discovered that the key to music is humanity, and beauty, not a speed contest that you are doomed to lose to some lifeless processor.
That being said, this guy is absolutely nuts!!

Oh man, Gotta get me the whole collection.
Well once again I find myself smack in the middle of another mind boggling conundrum. Here we have one Mr. Ryan Sheckler (AKA Skateboarding Pro and Fashionista?) promoting his new line of RS by Sheckler. Now I don’t know how all of you thatwastheninites feel about a little change of pace, but…. I was considering the idea of getting Mr. Sheckler to possibly team up with thatwasthen. I can see it now, at the next show not only could possibly be able to purchase RS clothing, but the thought of Ryan Sheckler doing 360 Nollie Kickflips off of a halfpipe behind Drummer and snack enthusiast Chris Bridge.
Check it out here is Mr. Stylish himself Ryan Sheckler
