Whatup twt fans old and new, this is your friendly neighborhood Nicky P here. Thought I’d kick off my posting record with something a little different!
Now, to be clear, thatwasthenmusic.com is your number 1 place to go for all info regarding the band–live videos, streaming music, kickass pictures, show dates and ticket availibility, etc.–but it’s also for your entertainment-thirsty blog-reading pleasure. So strap yourselves in commandos, you’re about to enter a dangerous mind!
I was just cruising the interwebs as we are all apt to do (especially when your roommate took the Xbox 360 home and you stupidly left the Wii in the hands of your siblings) when I came upon a video of Mr. Hendrix. If you’re not aware of this person on a purely last name basis, go ahead and hit yourself in the head roughly three times. If you’re feeling like some light corporal punishment, the back of the hand doesn’t leave any marks. You may also be wondering how I discovered said video in a sea of otherwise useless footage such as dramatic prairie dogs and drugged out Davids-after-dentists.
The power of stumble, my friend.
Stumbleupon is probably the greatest thing that happened to the internet since Rick Rolling. No longer must you spend hours piggybacking from facebook profile to profile, eventually looking at pictures of people you don’t even know (don’t lie, you know you do it)…now, with one click of a button you hold the key to a world of content–the difference being you truly enjoy or are interested in almost every single page you view! All you have to do is register an account and click what kind of media you want to see with every click. It gets ridiculously in-depth too, so you’re virtually guaranteed to find something you love every time. For more info, click the little page turn animation in the top-right corner of the home page!
Anyway, without further ado, here is the video in question. Hot damn, was this guy a genius or what? I think the best part about watching him play is that he was clearly stoned as all hell. ”Here’s another song we did, in about the year of eighteen hundred and thirty three. I think it’s still true today.” Haha…he also plays kinda sloppy and forgets the words…but it doesn’t even matter. He puts so much passion and soul into it that it’s forgiven. Besides it’s a live show, back in the days before auto-tuners when people could actually listen to real live music as it should be played…by talented musicians who can sound reasonably like their records in person. Enjoy!
