Rooftop Sessions with thatwasthen
We love our music so much that we decided to climb up onto Nicky’s roof and let the world know. Here’s an acoustic version of a new song we’ve been working on for our follow up to Q.E.D.. The song is entitled “My Mistake” and is a work in progress.
This video was recorded right before we left for our UCLA Spring Sing 2010 sound check.
UCLA Mighty Mic 2010 Places to End
Here is the third video from our performance at UCLA’s annual Mighty Mic 2010. This is the track “Places to End” from Q.E.D. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this great cause.
Mighty Mic is a student-run group that organizes a benefit concert every spring at UCLA. Our goal is to use music and other forms of artistic expression as a medium for raising awareness about human rights violations and helping people take action. Two years ago, with OK Go as our headlining band, we raised over $20, 000 to help refugees of the genocide in Darfur. Last year, Blackalicious and Daphne Loves Derby along with many other musical acts joined together to highlight the struggle for human rights in Burma. This year’s concert will focus on the issues of violence and displacement in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
UCLA Mighty Mic 2010 Mr Politician
Here is one of our newest songs “Mr. Politician“, which we played for UCLA’s student body at Mighty Mic, April 14th, 2010 in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom Theater.
UCLA Mighty Mic 2010 Girl You Don’t Have It
thatwasthen rocked UCLA at their annual Mighty Mic benefit for The Congo and Heal Africa. There was an awesome turn out and we were able to rock to a great crowd. Here is a video of us performing “Girl you don’t have it”.
